Really comfortable stay in a lovely fancy hotel.

The Hipotels Gran Playa de Palma made a great first impression with a huge lobby and very fancy looking decore. Our room was really spacious and really nicely finished. Our two week stay was really comfortable and relaxing, we got a good deal on a room upgrade when we arrived. The inclusive meals were great.

Sometimes the dining rooms were busy. The lifts occasionally were a little busy and took a while to get us to our floor.

Good Location. Great food options.

We booked two junior suites sea view for my family of 4. I requested for these 2 rooms to be near as possible but this weren’t taken into consideration. The In room bar/fridge is empty, not even bottled water. Only 2 capsules of coffee and no daily refills for it. No slippers available.

exceptional stay minus lobby bar

facilities like sauna,pool,dance near lobby bar were excellent..executives at reception were really cool and spot on..rooms were clean and cleaning staff were immaculate..

people working at lobby bar..couple of male colleagues completely ignored me on both the days but lovely lady working there helped me ..those male colleagues gave menus to other customers but completely ignored me..dnt know why..

Exceptional

The property was clean, nice, very tidy and cosy. The food was fantastic, the kindness that everyone has there was well deserved and we are very happy with our stay in this hotel, and we can’t wait to come back and see it again.

One thing which we didn’t like is the kids zone, where people should leave their kids for hour or two, so parents can have time to rest for themselves. Maybe they were busy with the Halloween decorations, and when we asked if the kids zone room is open, they told us that it’s up to the girl who was working there to open the facility, so we can leave our daughter there, but from the reception, didn’t have us proper working time for the kids zone and when it’s open. Again that maybe was the wrong moment due to the Halloween, but it’s something that the hotel can focus, from our point of view. Everything else was excellent and definitely we can visit it again next year

Unexpectedly too roust in this area at this time of the year.

Clean, friendly staff Very good food quality.

Too close to noisy road, this time. We have been many times before but unfortunately this time there were too many noisy drunken groups, even in the hotel. This was a shame and puts us off to return.

Really big, lots of room at the pool every day, clean and friendly staff

Nothing really - probably how expensive the taxis are to palma centre but there is a really good bus service for €2 right next to the hotel which is great!

Loved everything about the hotel and the trips we made to inland locations but not the coast.

Room spacious and comfortable. Excellent variety of food for breakfast and dinner, no one should ever be hungry after eating there. Staff were pleasant friendly and competent. The ones I spoke to enjoy working there and it shows. The organised and orderly way the hotel is run is a main factor in its success.

Since my last visit to Mallorca many years ago the general area in which the hotel is located has deteriorated. There's a lot of drunkenness in the street throughout the day and annoying street sellers. This was not evident in the hotel though. I guess this could be an age thing but I didn't enjoy it.

Very nice hotel, but close to the party location, not for families.

It’s new and clean. The rooms are spacious and with modern furniture. The indoor pool is heated. We only spent one night there as we had a very early flight. The kitchen prepared the breakfast for us at 3am, which was really thoughtful.

Location. I thought it was far away from the drunk tourist areas but not at all. Unfortunately they are everywhere. Spa staff. We went to the indoor pool and asked the lady for the towels. She said very unpleasantly that the towels are upstairs. Then I asked her why are the towels upstairs and not by the pool. I didn’t see any logic there… then she said she didn’t work for the hotel she is contracted by another company for the spa. Very not nice. Also, she is the face of the hotel and I will remember her as a hotel staff not as a person contracted by the spa company.

Wonderful

We had a really exceptional stay at Hipotels Gran Playa. A cosy double room, with a sofa. We really appreciated a large room space (33 m2). The hotel is more oriented towards German tourists, but a really kind reception staff were fully fluent in English. They had answered all question we had asked them. The room was a very silent one, did not hear any noise during a night. Food options were wonderful, both for breakfast and dinner. Various choices of meat, fishes, salads, vharcuterie boards, specials of the day. Juice freshes during breakfast time. Tasty and reasonably cocktails (€6-8) in a lobby bar. A basic spa service (inside heated pool, whirlpools, sauna) is included in the price. We were busy with sightseeing and walking, that we did not use it.

The room entrance doors made some kind of "entering/closing" noise during an evening and a late night....someone may perceive it as a scary thing, we were okay with that and the thing did not even interrupted our sleeping.

Great hotel with fantastic customer service

The hotel was excellent. Great size room - we had a twin. The hotel was kept extremely clean, and the staff were fantastic - welcoming, helpful, and friendly - their customer service skills were fantastic. Breakfast was amazing, so much choice. It was hard not to overeat .

There were only two slight downsides, one being no tea/coffee in the room, but this wasn't a big issue, we just would have liked it. The second was the area, but this is not any reflection on the hotel, just something that booking.com might like to advertise. We didn't realise that it was an area that appeared to be probably more suitable for those who like to drink a lot during the day and evening. This didn't cause a problem for us but something some may prefer a quieter area.

Delivered everything we wanted.

Location, out of season trip. Loved the fact you could enjoy a wonderful spa hotel and catch the number 25 into the heart of Palma for €2 a trip per person. The spa facilities were a real enjoyment. Will definitely do a repeat visit.

For our visit we liked everything, if you’re looking to walk to quaint bars and restaurants this is maybe not the location of choice.
